POSITION                        Director of Sales- National Foodservice Accounts  



Passport Food Group is a leading Manufacturer and Distributor of globally-flavored food products to Foodservice and Retail channels in America.                                   

Passport is looking for a Director of Sales that can plan, implement and attain chain restaurant and key account sales and margins objectives. The ideal candidate will own and build an indispensable customer relationship through an absolute focus on servicing the customer.


Essential Duties and Primary Accountabilities:

-       Have and build relationships with key target accounts.

-       Attain sales volume objectives by developing an action plan to increase current product volume and maximize product

        penetration within the assigned account list. 

-       Build an indispensable relationship through an absolute focus on servicing the customer. 

-       Cultivate new accounts and maintaining current information on all accounts and key personnel.

-       Identify customer needs for new product initiatives and establish a strong working relationship to satisfy these needs.

-       Lead the internal support team to build customer relations and jointly solve customer needs.

-       Act as a liaison between Sales/Marketing, Culinary, R&D, Operations and the customer during the product development process.

-       Understand capability, capacity and margins to profitability bring together customer and company needs.   

-       Develop close working relationships with all levels at assigned accounts through research, personal sales calls, participation in

        association and shows and appropriate entertainment.

-       Determine the needs of the customer and work cross functionally within our organization to create customer solutions that result

        in new volume and margins.

-       Manage customer contracts and supply agreements. Develop strategies that will grow business and put PFG in the best position

        to renew contracts as they come up for renewal.

-       Build, manage and implement with the VP of Sales and VP of Finance effective pull through programs. 

-       Complete and submit necessary paperwork and reports relative to customer payments and credits, sales activities, etc.



Strong drive, sales skills, common sense, work ethic and integrity

A minimum of 10 years Sales Management and key / chain account relationships

Bachelor's degree preferred

Understanding of key accounts and the processes and strategies to build indispensable relationships.

Understanding of the food service and industrial channel and the ability to target and balance these targets to drive significant sales growth.  

A team player with strong interpersonal skills and people skills.

Ability to build strong relationships, independent and strategic thinker and solution provider.     

Ability to plan, control expenses, travel and work in an organized manner. 

Ability to lift 50 lbs., load, set up, execute and tear down promotional items. 

Flexibility to travel, work nights and weekends as needed.

Valid Driver's License with good driving record and reliable transportation.

Sound math, written, verbal communication and computer skills- excel, word, power point.
