Passport Food Group is a leading Manufacturer and Distributor of globally-flavored food products to Foodservice and Retail channels in America.  Passport is looking for a Marketing Assistant that can support the Sales & Marketing Vice Presidents.   The ideal candidate will be able to handle internal sales and marketing activities to assure maximum VP Sales focus against our key customer strategy.  


  • Handle internal sales support activities for the Sale and Marketing VP's, e.g.
    • Primary: Collateral materials, packaging, sales materials, samples, gross margin analysis
    • Secondary: Presentations, data collection and sales reporting,
  • Act as a coordinator with Operations and Product Development on new and existing product.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales report, budget reports, maintaining sales records, CRM record, preparing sales quotes (GMA) and filing reports, maintaining GDSN database.
  • Participate and assist in division activities (e.g., sales meetings, food shows, promotion programs) in order to promote sales, increase product knowledge, and maintain good customer relations
  • Coordinate with Sales managers in-store demonstrators for assigned retailers. 
  • Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Prepare sample shipments and ensure customers receive them in a timely manner.   
  • Manage and update website content, online inquiries, etc. 
  • Develop and manage collateral materials, packaging, advertising content and promotional programs. 
  • Ensure all project updates and changes are clearly and appropriately communicated.
  • Promotes sales to potential and existing accounts within the assigned channels. 
  • Assist in the development of business relationships with potential and existing customers in order to maintain/expand market.
  • Identifies and communicates individual store problems and opportunities to the appropriate sales manager. 
  • Attend trade shows and conferences.


    Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

    Ability to work flexible hours.

    Strong math, written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong computer skills- proficiency in excel, word, power point, adobe and various graphics programs.  

    Strong interpersonal skills, to include problem resolution and initiative.

    Strong work ethic, detail oriented, quick learner, team player, good with people and outgoing personality.

    Ability to lift 50 lbs., load, set up, execute and tear down promotional items. 

    Flexibility to travel, work nights and weekends as needed.  

    Valid Driver's License with good driving record and reliable transportation.

    Bilingual capabilities preferred (English & Cantonese or Mandarin)
